Obstacle Detection
Our LiDAR-based collision avoidance system uses advanced laser scanning technology to create a precise, real-time 3D map of the crane’s surroundings. The system continuously monitors the work area while the crane is in operation.
Avoiding Obstacles with Artificial Intelligence
If an obstacle is detected by AutoCrane’s Industrial AI, the system stops the crane’s movement or - in autonomous mode - navigates around the obstacle. Our AI thus prevents the crane from moving its grapple, hook, or load into the detected object, thereby avoiding collisions. This ensures personnel safety, protects equipment, and minimizes the risk of costly damage or downtime.
Collision avoidance will be available in the second half of 2026. In the future, the system will also support the detection of moving obstacles.
