Safety and Efficiency with Fully Autonomous Crane Operations

By sequentially linking individual tasks performed autonomously, AutoCrane is able to control the crane completely by itself. The crane operator simply needs to oversee the crane’s operations. The AI controls the crane and ensures that it independently picks up loads at the loading point, transports them to their destination, sets them down precisely there, and then returns to the loading point for the next load. During all operations, AutoCrane always adheres to the specified safety guidelines, avoids danger zones, and never cuts corners.

From Automation to Autonomy 

Unlike traditional automated systems, the load and the transport vehicle do not need to be in exactly the same position at all times for the system to recognize them. AutoCrane actively controls the position of the load while responding flexibly to changes in environmental conditions. The operator retains full control: with a simple movement of the joystick, the operator can immediately take manual control at any time.

The autonomous crane in 24/7 operation

Working in conjunction with the site’s own traffic control systems, the system operates around the clock (24/7). It tirelessly unloads goods from trucks or trains or from the warehouse and transports them to their destination. The system reliably avoids obstacles, day and night, in bright sunshine as well as in pouring rain.
